Jamie Green, a MidWest native, works in
watercolor, acrylic, pencil, pen and ink, and marker. He
creates works of local architecture, scenery, and
historical landmarks. “I like people to view my work and
say ‘I remember that!”’
Participating in Plein Air (open air) competitions,
Green has received numerous awards throughout
Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Indiana, and Wisconsin.
Along with paintings of local flavor, Jamie has been
drawing cartoons and caricatures since the 1960’s.
He’s a member of The Great River Watercolor Society,
and a founding member of Sandpiper Plein Air Painters,
“I’m always looking for ways to grow and improve my
skills, including attending various classes, workshops,
and learning from other artists.
Teaching classes and workshops himself,
Jamie loves to share his knowledge and techniques with others.
